Visit from Scotland - Part 4

It should have been titled, Hunting for Bears...We went to Whistler on this day. We stopped at Tim Horton's to Canadianize the Scots and "moved on" to Brandywine Falls and checked out the views of the falls and Black Tusk. We took a detour up the Callaghan Valley in search of bears. Alisdair and Audrey were interested in seeing a bear and everytime Jigs would bark at something outside, they would look out the windows to see if it was a bear. Well, they got their wish and we soon came across a brown one. Whistler was next, Peak 2 Peak was closed for maintenance but we were able to go up the chairlift at Blackcomb. We saw another bear on the chairlift grazing on the ski hill. It was a very nice day and we got a little too much "pink" by the end of the day.

Thank you for being such wonderful guests and we enjoyed having you stay with us. Can't wait to see you again soon.

Visit from Scotland - Part 3

Today, Audrey and I took Alisdair and Audrey to Vancouver and surrounding area. We started at Capilano Suspension Bridge; "moved on" to Gastown and Granville Island; and finished off with the beach at Spanish Banks.

Visit from Scotland - Part 2

Took the cousins to the local lake to do some kayaking and check out the infamous Canadian icon "the beaver". No sign of the beaver except for the large dam. Ended the day with a barbeque.

Visit from Scotland - Part 1

Our cousins Alisdair and Audrey came to visit us all the way from Scotland. We had a few days hanging out in the Valley and then took them around to Vancouver and Whistler. We had a great time getting to know them and it was hard to say good bye. We know that they will be back one day and we hope to visit them as well.
