Vanessa's Birthday

Vanessa turned six. She went out for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa to one of her favorite places: Montana's. Her party was on Sunday. The theme was OWL. She had two owls come from a local rescue. One was a pygmy owl named Zippy and one was a great horned owl named Lucy. They enjoyed learning lots of information about the two owls. Vanessa has a Puss 'n' Boots cake. She loves that movie.

More Snow!

We had a big dump of snow that caused schools to be closed for a few days in some areas. I only got one snow day myself but I enjoyed it none the less. How could you not when it makes everything so beautiful and of course fun for the kids.

Tooth Fairy on New Years

Vanessa's year got off to a bang when her tooth fell out. It had been loose for some time but finally got detached when her cousin's friend's slipper got flung into Vanessa's face. Vanessa was pleased that the tooth fairy has time to visit that night considering she was not in bed before midnight.

New Years Eve Day

Oddly enough, we decided to go to the aquarium on New Years Eve during the day. They had some really fascinating displays called "Luminescence". Lots of sea creatures glow when given the opportunity. One of the most cool exhibits was the two Christmas trees that the electric eels lit. The polar express 4D experience was really something as well. It had the three dimensional effect as well as feel and smell. The hot chocolate smell during the hot chocolate number was amazing!!!

Love the blacklight effect. Beautiful
