Keeping Busy at the Park

Since big sister is away, we tried to keep Vanessa busy. We took her golfing and for a late afternoon swim at Stanley Park. It was our first time ever swimming at Second Beach pool. It was massive.

Cottonwood Roadhouse

We went to Cottonwood Roadhouse which was one of the stops for travellers on their way to the goldfields. It was a beautiful place. We then continued to Barkerville for the day. Lots to do and so many things to see.

Visit from Scotland - Part 4

It should have been titled, Hunting for Bears...We went to Whistler on this day. We stopped at Tim Horton's to Canadianize the Scots and "moved on" to Brandywine Falls and checked out the views of the falls and Black Tusk. We took a detour up the Callaghan Valley in search of bears. Alisdair and Audrey were interested in seeing a bear and everytime Jigs would bark at something outside, they would look out the windows to see if it was a bear. Well, they got their wish and we soon came across a brown one. Whistler was next, Peak 2 Peak was closed for maintenance but we were able to go up the chairlift at Blackcomb. We saw another bear on the chairlift grazing on the ski hill. It was a very nice day and we got a little too much "pink" by the end of the day.

Visit from Scotland - Part 3

Today, Audrey and I took Alisdair and Audrey to Vancouver and surrounding area. We started at Capilano Suspension Bridge; "moved on" to Gastown and Granville Island; and finished off with the beach at Spanish Banks.
