Quick trip to Denver

I got the opportunity to go to Denver, Colorado because a student of mine won an award and I was able to go and watch her receive it. The city has fantastic architecture and is a big sports city.

Enjoying Spring Life

The girls painted their bird houses on another sunny day.

The chicks get comfortable in the bunny hutch. Looking forward to moving day as they are a bit smelly in the house.

Easter 2012

What a wonderful day to color eggs. I believe it has been the first time we have been able to do it outside.

Bunny Todd with over 200 eggs

This Easter was really special because it was the first Easter in this house. The Easter Bunny brought something eggceptionally special this year. CHICKS!!!!! The girls were thrilled and surprised. They named them after characters in Harry Potter. The two Buff Rock (blondes) are Luma and Fleur, the brunette Americana is Hermoine, the Rhode Island Red is Ginny and the Black Australorp is Hagrid (even though she is a girl too). The cousins came over for a vast Easter Egg hunt outside by Bunny Todd and the Easter Bunny hid some eggs inside as well. We had a nice brunch with family and I was very satisified that it was a rare sunny day.

Heather surprised and excited about what they found in the shed

Dad's Birthday

We took my dad out for lunch on his birthday. He loves his girls. Happy Birthday Dad!!!!

More Wildlife Adventures

Todd was re-insulating the windows and waterproofing them so the house can get a good outside clean and stain this year. He pried off the board of one of the windows and this is what he found. Thank goodness it was not living there very long. Still gives me the willies to look at the picture.

April also brings on mating season for the frogs. The video shows just how loud it gets at our house.
