Halloween 2010

Ah, One of the family's favorite times of year has arrived. Todd and I were invited to a Halloween party but I ended up having to stay home because Vanessa was sick. We also had to cancel our own Halloween party because we didn't want others to get sick. Vanessa was better for trick or treating on Sunday night. Todd was dressed as the Mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
Carving Pumpkins

Our first Trick or Treaters of the night. The Laity family.

Even Jigs was subjected to dressing up as the Rabbit. Again, he looks so pleased.

The Family. Heather was Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter and Vanessa was a skeleton. I was the Queen of Hearts. "Off with her head!"

Our other neighbors came to trick or treat with us and Catherine was Alice (not planned) but a nice coincidence

Todd did another great job of decorating

The neighbor girls (Jessica and Porche) with Heather and Vanessa

Top the night with Sparklers!

The Dam Haunted House

The Dam in Stave Falls has built a good reputation for a haunted House so we decided to go check out this one as well. The girls were practicing their dramatics at the entrance. There were no pictures allowed inside the haunted house so we opnly have the beginning and the end.

The light sticks to defend off evil spirits!!!!At the end of the tour we got a nice family picture with 'The Minotaur"Just not the same as the picture with Santa is it?

Bairn's Ball 2010

The Bairns Ball is a fall dance for heather's Dancing group. They do traditional reels and dances to a musician playing the accordian. Heather danced with Emily who babysits for us once in a while. Heather dancing with one of the Coumont boys

Kilby Haunted House

We went to the Kilby Farm with friends to check out their haunted house. We went with the kids first and then the adults went for another scary tour after. Vanessa also got an opportunity to feed a calf milk which didn't take very long to do as it was hungry. It was a lot of fun seeing the animals, feeding them, making crafts and enjoying the Halloween spirit. Had a great time taking pictures of all sorts of things and getting scared. Check out the video!

Laity Farm

We went with friends to Laity Farms to pick out pumpkins for the season. The kids enjoyed the corn maze, the enchanted forest and the animals. Thanks Heather for the free pumpkins again! You always take care of us.
Checking out the stock The Gang minus Todd taking the picture

Reading a postcard found in the mailbox.

In the corn maze

Vanessa found hers!!!!

Mine looked exactly like a curling rock. Todd testing it out.
