Happy Jumpsgiving!
The girls and I went to Mom and Dave's for Thanksgiving (Todd just got back from Germany and stayed home to dog and chicken sit). While we were there, we went to a Kangaroo farm. It was fantastic. The girls got to not only interact with emus, pot-bellied pigs, exotic birds and kangaroos but they also got to hold three little joeys. One was an albino joey. The girls and I had a lot of fun and we ended the day with a nice meal. Thanks Mom.

Oktoberfest - Part 9 - Last Call
Before heading home, Todd and Brent did the beer tents yet again. They were surprised that most people were in traditional lederhosen and dirndls throughout the festival. The youtube link at the bottom was taken by Todd. It is apparently a very famous children's song. Everyone got into it. Great memories to last a lifetime and a beer belly to burn off.

Oktoberfest - Part 8 - Dachau
Dachau is one of the first Concentration Camps from World War II. Todd and Brent visited this place. Todd thought it was eerie and the information was a lot to take in. He was surprised at how big the site was. He felt weird taking pictures and was unsure about posting these ones but it is history and we need to learn about the past so these horrible events are not repeated.

Year End Regatta
Heather competed in her last regatta of the year. She is getting faster all the time. She did really well in the team events. She finished the weekend off with three second places, one third and one fourth. The fog was really cool to see in the morning but the Sunday ended with a beautiful warm day.

Oktoberfest - Part 7 - Neuschwanstein Castle
Brent and Todd took another train ride. This time, they went to Fussen. There, they went on a tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle. This castle is apparently the model for Walt Disney's Fictional Castle and was the castle used in the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Todd was a little disappointed that the front side was covered in scaffolding but it was still picturesque nonetheless. King Ludwig II build the castle and he was not a well liked king because he sold Bavaria to Germany.
