Maritime Festival

We decided to go to the Maritime Festival this year. Lots to see and do. Missed the cannery again. One day I will get in to see it. We got distracted by the boats.

Todd got the mini quad going and Vanessa to ride on it. She was getting used to it but gave it a little too much gas. She did a really smart thing by cranking the steering at the last second so that she rolled off the machine, otherwise she was headed right for the trees. I didn't get the whole crash as I had to put down the camera to see if she was okay. The trooper got right back on and kept going.

What's that Sound????

Every noise we hear outside, we now think is the bear. Todd and I were outside in the yard and we heard this scratching. Turns out it was a woodpecker. Gorgeous color and we were able to get pretty close but my only picture is blurry.

Supporting Pride

We had a good time at our first pride parade experience. Both Todd and I want to teach the girls about acceptance and celebrating who you are. They had a great time and embraced the opportunity. I was surprised at how many different organizations and participants there was. Lots of politicians and a lot of corporate support as well. It was definitely an amazing colorful sight. I would definitely recommend going to see it.
