Camping Fun

We went back to Blue Lake for our annual camping trip. The kids had a lot of fun and the boys did too. Heather found a buddy to hang out with.

Vanessa's smile will never be the same. She lost her first top tooth and we know with our European genetics that she is going to get the big ones.

A Visit to Tutu's

The girls and I went to Grandma Tutu and Grandpa Dave's for a visit. While we were up there, we checked out this new resort in the making called Kelowna Mountain. It has a nice concert bowl and a series of four really long suspension bridges. There is supposed to be skiing in the winter and golfing in the summer, a winery and a gorgeous view of the lake to boot. It won't be done for a few years but it looks like it will be a really neat place if and when it gets finished. Heather and I also went for a nice bike ride along the lake. Loved visiting with my parents as well.

Five Year Project Continues...

After seeing those gorgeous quilts at the state fair, I decided to drag out an old unfinished project and finish it for Vanessa. It is hand quilted with glow in the dark thread. I lost a block so I decided to steal an idea from the fair. I stitched a spider web in the blank block.

The Chicks are getting big. No eggs yet. Vanessa's favorite is Nagini.

State Fair - Demo Derby

We went to the state fair across the line for the day. We used to go often before we had kids but for some reason we hadn't been in years. Lots of fun watching the cars get destroyed and oddly enough the girls got to ride a camel. Who would have thought that? Vanessa got picked out of the audience to participate in a juggling/comedy act. It was a lot of fun. Check out the video of Vanessa's Act!
